- Safety Check Pre-storm

- Call out to designated person(s)
- Education (printed or emailed) on starting, operating, and stopping a portable generator
- Updates from Calibers Facebook page on local shelters, storms, and assistance.
Safety check includes one call out to customer before and after the storm. Voicemail left with instructions to call back. These call outs will be performed before landfall for adequate timing to get a technician to the property to make sure the customer is taken care of, if needed.
Safety checks ARE included with the monthly package, but any repairs, or preparations made by Caliber may be charged. Customer or Customers designated person(s) will be notified and will need to approve before work moves forward.
If no contact can be made via cellular services, designated contact will be notified outside of state. Cellular service is NOT guaranteed after the storms, all efforts will be made to call out to customers and to directed personnel.
May also including calling in state aid for evacuations if needed. Education on the proper use, venting, and protocols for generators will be provided per customers request of a digital copy or printed.

Safety checks ARE included with the monthly package, but any repairs due to storms, or preparations needed beyond package details made by Caliber may be charged at a discounted rate (7% discount!)

Maintenance will be suggested by Caliber Electric, but customer must schedule. Suggestion of maintenance will be per manufactures warranties and guidelines.

To protect the safety of our technicians this service is not available in active state of emergencies or storms, trucks will be recalled when wind speeds reach 25 MPH sustained or 40 MPH Gusts.
Caliber Electric LLC offers no guarantees to be able to find, locate, or call any customers on the subscription plan before, during, or after the storms. ALL best efforts will be made to ensure the safety of our paying customers, and the laws of the road. NO technicians will drive over standing water, or flooded roads. NO technicians will drive over downed power lines, or tree limbs. NO technicians will exit the vehicles to attempt to reach a customer’s property. Protection of Property, Life, and Limb will always be the first consideration, with the goal in mind of safety for all.
Caliber Electric does not guarantee any arrival times.
Caliber Electric is NOT licensed to repair small engines and CANNOT repair them, all good faith attempts will be made to get a generator functioning for a test run, but generator maintenance should be completed throughout the year, not before an active storm. The responsibility of the owner is to have the generators in good form, and be able to be serviced throughout the year, at the expense of the owner.
ALL referrals are made in good faith, the referrals are at time of giving, known contractors who have proper licensures, insurance, and any further needed documents to do business in our area. Caliber Electric assumes no responsibility if another business owner does not have proper licensures at time of referral.
Caliber Electric does not accept any liability for misuse of equipment. Best practices will be told to customers, who operate their own equipment at their own risk. Customers are encouraged and expressly told to operate all equipment with full safety and by the owners and operators’ manuals. It is on the customers’ diligence to operate all equipment to proper standards and with safety. Caliber Electric and its staff and volunteers assume no liability for any issue or damages to equipment during installation, running, or during customers usages. Equipment must be readily accessible, Caliber Electric defines readily accessible by no need for moving of other objects, reached easily, and quickly, no attempts will be made to move equipment that is not readily accessible, or not currently on the property. Caliber Electric will not assemble generators.
Caliber Electric is NOT emergency services, and this service is provided at a fee, with the intent to safeguard and honor our communities. Caliber Electric assumes NO liability for damages, inability to reach customers, or inability to accept or send out cellular phone calls. There is no guarantees made by Caliber Electric that sate aid will be available for answering or help at the time.
Good faith attempts will be made by “Calibers’ Shield” staff for all our community benefits.
Caliber Electric emphatically suggests all residents comply with local evacuations and listen to government officials for the updates.
